One More Ramen is an independent selection of good ramen houses, city by city. This page explains where the information comes from, how the list is made and what it is (and what it is not).
Where the information comes from
Each house’s name, address, opening hours, price range, location and photos come from public Google Maps listings, collected automatically. The public reviews customers leave on those listings are the raw material of the selection: we read thousands of them with the help of artificial intelligence.
What those reviews add up to, such as what a bowl costs and where people wait the longest, is in Ramen by the numbers.
How the selection is made
AI reads each house’s reviews and summarizes what they say about broth, noodles, chashu, toppings and atmosphere. From there, with human review, only the houses worth the trip make the list.
The list is not a ranking: houses appear in alphabetical order and are treated as equals. Nobody pays to be included, and there is no contact with the restaurants.
The comments
The comments on each house’s page, under the label “Comments inspired by N reviews, summarized with AI”, are texts we write with the help of AI from the house’s public reviews as a whole. They are not quotes, they do not reproduce specific reviews and they are not the words of real people. They sum up impressions that recur among people who have been there.
The photos
Photos come from the houses’ public Google Maps listings and belong to their authors: customers, photographers or the restaurants themselves. One More Ramen claims no authorship over them. If a photo is yours and you would rather it not appear here, write to us and it comes down.
Information can change
Hours, prices, addresses and even whether a house is open change without notice. The data is checked periodically, but it may be out of date. Before you go, confirm with the restaurant or on Google Maps.
Not affiliated
One More Ramen is an independent project. It has no affiliation, partnership or sponsorship with the listed restaurants or with Google. Restaurant names and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here only to identify them.
Opinion, not a guarantee
The selection and the texts are editorial opinion, formed from public reviews. They do not guarantee quality, food safety, service or the experience of any particular visit, and One More Ramen is not responsible for decisions made based on them.
Corrections and removal
Own or run a house on the list, took one of the photos, or found something wrong? Write to with the page address and what needs to change. Photo removals and data corrections are handled as soon as possible. Requests to take a house off the list are reviewed case by case.
Use of the content
The site’s texts, selection and organization belong to One More Ramen. You may quote short excerpts with a link to the original page. Reproducing the content in bulk requires permission.
